Villa Datris
The Villa Datris Foundation is a foundation situated in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, devoted to contemporary sculpture and created by Danièle Marcovici and Tristan Fourtine.
Since 2011, the Foundation has organised themed exhibitions and presented a great number of well-known French and international sculptors as well as emerging artists.
These vibrant and fascinating exhibitions aim to bring contemporary sculpture within the reach of a wide public in a beautiful big Provençal house dating back to the 19th century.
Since it opened, works by over 800 artists have been exhibited, and almost 400,000 visitors have been able to see them. This unique and convivial place offers over 500 sq. metres of exhibition space spread over four floors and a pathway amongst a garden of sculptures on the banks of the Sorgue River.

Creative workshops are also offered for adults who may feel inspired by the works of the artists in the exhibition, and, of course, children and teenagers, to introduce them to the joys of art via fun events in relation with the exhibited works.
